The myth of King Arthur brought once again to the screen. Uther Pendragon is given the mystical sword Excalibur by the wizard Merlyn. At his death Uther buries the sword into a stone, and the next man that can pull it out will be King of England.

He is responsible for remarkable films such as Leo the Last (1970), Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), Excalibur (1981), The Emerald Forest (1985), Beyond Rangoon (1995), The General (1998), or The Tailor of Panama (2001).
