A young artist has gone missing, and a hardened detective takes on the case. Six friends become the focus of the investigation, being pressured for their knowledge of the artist’s whereabouts. They all deny involvement, and soon they have reason to fear for their lives…
Director and screenwriter, he debuted in 1992 with the Goya-winning short film The Merry Go Round. In 1994 he was nominated for the Goya to Best New Direction for It’s All Lies. He then filmed Witches (1996), Nothing in the Fridge (1998), and The Art of Dying (2000), with which he won the Silver Grand Prize at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Among his works are feature films such as El juego de la verdad (2004), Blinkers (2007), Sidetracked (2014), If I Were Rich Man(2019), or Ocho apellidos marroquís (2023); television series such as El síndrome de Ulises, Doctor Mateo, Down There or Spanish Shame; and the documentary Ángel Nieto: 12 + 1 (2005).
